Betty is a street person who lives with an inner emotional personality and extreme guilt that she hides behind a shield of toughness.

She may seem rough on the outside but inside she cares for others, especially her friend Cartland. Cartland saved her from being viscously assaulted and received brain damage because of it. She has never been able to forgive herself for allowing this to happen.

Betty has psychic abilities she doesn't understand. She has a heightened  sense of the world around her and can sometimes see the future when life threatens her or those she wants to protect.
